UAE President, Hungarian Prime Minister hold talks in Budapest to discuss bilateral relations
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with His Excellency Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation to advance both countries' development ambitions. The meeting took place as part of His Highness' official visit to Hungary. During the meeting, held at the Prime Minister's Office in Budapest, His Highness and the Hungarian Prime Minister explored opportunities to further boost collaboration in key sectors, including the economic and trade and investment fields, as well as technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy. His Highness affirmed the UAE's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Hungary to help advance development goals and promote further progress and prosperity for both countries and their peoples. He also reiterated the UAE's consistent approach of building bridges of cooperation with countries around the world and continuing to foster productive partnerships based on collaboration and mutual interests. The Hungarian Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the UAE President, noting that it represents a strong boost to bilateral ties, which continue to develop across a wide range of fields and areas of shared interest. The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. They emphasised the importance of supporting international efforts aimed at strengthening stability and peace at both the regional and global levels, and underlined the need to resolve crises and conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. Later, the Hungarian Prime Minister hosted a dinner in honour of the UAE President and the accompanying delegation, which was attended by a number of Hungarian ministers and senior officials. Earlier in the day, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed toured the Hungarian Parliament Building, which is renowned for its distinctive architecture and rich historical and cultural significance. UAE, Turkish Presidents witness exchange of agreements, memoranda of understanding
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, today witnessed the exchange of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the UAE and Türkiye. Exchanged during His Highness the UAE President's state visit to Türkiye, the agreements aim to expand cooperation, reflecting the two countries' shared commitment to further advancing bilateral relations across various sectors. The agreements and memoranda include: – Agreement on the mutual protection of classified information – MoU on the establishment of a joint consular committee – MoU on investment in food and agriculture – MoU on investment cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry – MoU on investment in tourism and hospitality – MoU on investment cooperation in the industrial sector – MoU on cooperation in polar research The agreements and memoranda were exchanged during a formal ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara. President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has affirmed the UAE's steadfast commitment to supporting family stability and cohesion, describing the family as the foundation of a strong society. His Highness' remarks came as he honoured institutions awarded the 'Parent-Friendly Label' by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) during the programme's third cycle. The ceremony also included a reception for members of the programme's judging panel and several ECA employees. During the event, held at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, His Highness congratulated the winning institutions and underlined the importance of strengthening organisational awareness around the need to establish parent-friendly workplaces. Sharjah issues decision to regulate health activities, professions
The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), during its meeting, on Tuesday, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Council, issued a decision regarding the regulation of practising health activities and professions in the Emirate of Sharjah. The provisions of the decision apply to local health establishments affiliated with the government of the emirate, as well as private health facilities in the emirate and free zones. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired the SEC meeting, on Tuesday, held at the Sharjah Ruler's Office. At the start of the meeting, the SEC extended its congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as well as to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of Faya being inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The SEC affirmed that this historic achievement reflects Sharjah's rich historical and archaeological value. It also documents humanity's ability to adapt in the region across different eras and periods, and crowns the Emirate's research and scientific efforts to preserve its historical and human heritage. The SEC praised the approval by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah of a new batch of housing support beneficiaries in the Emirate, designated for urgent cases, with a budget of AED335 million. This reflects His Highness' commitment to ensuring a dignified life and supporting families in ways that enhance their stability and social cohesion. The SEC reviewed the final accounts report for the year 2024, which outlines the actual financial results, expenditures, and revenues for government and independent departments and entities in the Emirate of Sharjah for the 2024 fiscal year. The SEC issued a decision regarding the regulation of practising health activities and professions in the Emirate of Sharjah. The provisions apply to local health establishments affiliated with the Government of Sharjah and private health facilities in the Emirate and free zones, as well as professionals working in those establishments. The provisions do not apply to federal government health facilities operating in the Emirate. The decision aims to achieve the following: Establish an integrated system for health regulation management concerned with the development of health facility licensing services by the Sharjah Health Authority, as well as the licensing of health professionals and the assurance of quality healthcare services. Promote good governance standards by reinforcing the principles of transparency, fairness, and legal accountability in the Emirate's healthcare sector. Lay down the legal foundations for practising health professions to ensure their advancement and the provision of the best healthcare services to individuals. The decision also includes legal provisions related to the powers of the Sharjah Health Authority, committees on accountability, medical practice and grievances, as well as regulations for the practice of health activities and professions, conditions and procedures for issuing health facility permits and professional health licences, along with administrative penalties, fees, judicial enforcement, and other legal stipulations.
